My research and creative practice is concerned with the process of creating and animating a CG character for the video games industry. My research also considers how video games are becoming more like playable films and what kind of effect this can have on character design. I am interested in gaining a better understanding of this process and how the video games industry works, as well as developing my skillset through advancing and refining my practice.
I have been experimenting with the modelling, rigging and animation process of creating my CG character. The desired goal of this research is to create a dynamic character reel which will illustrate the types of animations seen in video games, as well as showcasing my newly learnt skills.
