Working with film, photography, installation and sculpture I produce work that has an uneasy environmental message.
Taking creative risks are a defining feature of my methodology. The results are a balance between chaos and control, ugliness and beauty, strength and weakness present and future.
My visual concepts are backed up by qualitative environmental data which underpins the iterations I produce. Practice led research and evaluation supports my work as it develops. The resulting artworks have an emotive approach embedded in gentle activism.
Alongside exhibiting widely in a gallery context, I have also shown work at a number of environmental conferences and festivals.
‘Out of our Hands’ considers our personal and collective culpability in contributing to the effects of climate change and the ice cap melt, in ways that aren’t intended to be overly didactic but are designed to question and intrigue.
