My creative practice has a strong social dimension. In particular, I am interested in the relationship between human and environmental interactions. As such, my work attempts to create a positive influence within this field.
My Masters Project concerns the branding and promotion of aspects of the ‘Garden City Movement’, a concept designed to develop new approaches to modern city living. Nowadays, many of us lead busy urban lifestyles and are, more often than not, surrounded by skyscrapers and reinforced concrete. Consequently, many urban dwellers rarely experience green space. My notion of ‘The Underground Garden‘ provides urban dwellers the opportunity to enjoy green spaces whilst travelling on a subway. London is a typical example of both a modern city and a garden city, however, many Londoners never realise this. Therefore, my site-specific promotion of ‘The Underground Garden‘ is initially situated within the Baker Street underground station, located in London.
